How to Change an Outfit

⇟Cropped jeans, 3 ways⇟

Don't you get frustrated when you can't find the right pants to complete your outfit?! In this post I am going to be sharing with you some of my time saving tips on changing your look with the same pair of cropped jeans...after all, you want to make it worth your while if you're going to be taking it home, right?!

LOOK #1 Sporty Spice

For this look you can see I am rocking all muted, solid tones. This outfit is designed for the "I'm actually running a ton of errands, didn't have time to complete hair & makeup, don't talk to me look". One of the biggest deciding factors for this outfit to feel sporty, yet look like a complete outfit is by following my rule of 3 (which I'll explain in a little bit). Until then, here's a little break down!

1. Basic linen tank
2. Velour jacket and hat
3. Wire rimmed glasses
4. Sporty sneakers
5. My guest of honor...Poke-A-Doted cropped jeans.

LOOK #2 Girls Day

Moving right into my next look. This was inspired by the actual "meet up with a friend for coffee that later turns into mimosas and shopping look". What I love about this outfit is it's carefree, approachable, and crazy comfortable. How do I decide what an approachable outfit looks like? The decision comes down to one word...Moncrhromatic. As long as an outfit has a common tone to tie every piece in together, it gives a softer, more playful approach. My biggest deciding factor when it comes to Girls Day is that the outfit can't be too complicated. In other words I need to be able to take it off quickly and easily when I'm in that dressing room fighting for my life!

1. Gray razorback tank
2. Light Gray knit sweater
3. Those cropped jeans though
4. Gray lace-in Chucks

LOOK #3 Take Me Out

My third outfit choice takes us into the evening time...not that this isn't totally appropriate for day time! This last look was inspired by the "I have a dinner date right after work and want to be ready for anything" approach. Kick those flats off, throw a sheer top on and you won't have to come up with an excuse as to why you were late!

Remember earlier when I mentioned my Rule of 3? When it comes to mixing fabrics, colors, prints even...I generally layer 3 items. The trick is to make sure there is variation in the length of your layers to avoid that "short and stubby" image. What I love most about my rule of 3? Options baby! If I get hot, go to a concert, want to try something on quickly in the store...ditch that top layer and you're ready for just about anything!

1. Spaghetti strap black tank
2. Poke-a-dot sheer 3/4 sleeve blouse
3. Cropped jeans for the win
4. Black heals with studded embellishments
